The symbol of worship to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, a painting of unknown authorship, whose original measures 53 cm x 41.5 cm, brings more information than many books. Behind the dismay of Mary, we are presented to the symbols of pain and passion approaching the little Jesus.

Our Lady points her Son as the path indicating that life has a North and that hope has a meaning. To enter the iconographic path of this work of art and prayer is to become “perpetual aid” to the world, hungry and thirsty for God.

The picture was painted in the Byzantine style of the Eastern Church. The goal of this style of art is not to show a beautiful scene or person but to convey a beautiful spiritual message.
