[:en]The Divine Eternal Father Pilgrimage 2018 will be held from June 22^nd to July 1^st. This year, the theme is: “Eternal Father, we are Your children”. Goias’ Capital of Faith, Trindade, expects to receive more than 2.5 million pilgrims during the ten-day Feast. Caravans, groups and families are already preparing for one more Traditional Feast in Praise to the Divine Eternal Father.

According to the Rector of the Sanctuary Basilica, Fr. Edinisio Pereira, the choice of the theme was inspired on the Year of the Laity, proclaimed by the Pope and the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB) for 2018. “The emphasis will be on participation and work of the laity not only at Church, where they live their faith, but also within their families, workplace or where else they are inserted and their life of faith acts,” he pointed out.

Regarding the program prepared for the ten days of Feast, the rector highlighted that there will be an extra service at the request of the pilgrims. “The program is the same of previous years, except for a mass, which will be celebrated daily at 10:00 pm. Thus, we have the Festive Dawn, Penitence Procession, Novenas, Solemn Novenas, hourly masses, confessions all day long, baptism and Sacrament of the Eucharist.”

To the Rector, the Pilgrimage is always a time of prayer and great reflection on the work of the Church, as well as on the difficulties of the current World. “We believe that the Eternal Father will bring more hope for the Church and politics in Brazil as well as in the world. “May all people come to Trindade moved by faith. Set your spiritual goals to the Eternal Father Feast days. We always strengthen during the Pilgrimages: bring them on, participate and be followers of the Gospel message that will be shared here in Trindade. We welcome all those who come from either near or far. You are welcome. United by faith and prayer,” concluded Fr. Edinisio.

The Mayor of Trindade, Jânio Darrot, participated in the launching of the Pilgrimage 2018 theme and underscored the participation of both the local and state government on the planning of one more Pilgrimage. “We have the support from the State Government so that we can welcome more than 2.5 million pilgrims expected this year. It consists of a sum of forces from the City Hall of Trindade and the State Government through important institutions such as the military police, the fire brigade, civil police, Agetop, OVG and the Department of Health. Everything is done so that the party can be successful and so that people can come to Trindade and return safely to their homes,” he said.

On the importance of Pilgrimage to the Goias’ Capital of Faith, the Mayor stressed that the city is known worldwide for its faith history, which started in 1840, when the medallion with the image of the Holy Trinity was found. “Trindade originated and raised from the faith on the Divine Eternal Father. Currently, the Feast runs the city economy, local shops, inns, hotels and restaurants. It is a party that indeed moves Trindade. The religious tourism is the major source of income generation and employment in our city,” concluded the Mayor.

 [:es]La Peregrinación del Divino Padre Eterno 2018 se celebrará del 22 de junio al 1 de julio. Este año, el tema es: “Padre Eterno, somos tus hijos”. Trindade, la capital de la fe de Goiás, espera recibir más de 2.5 millones de peregrinos durante los diez días de la Fiesta. Caravanas, grupos y familias ya se preparan para otra tradicional fiesta en alabanza al Divino Padre Eterno.

Según el padre Edinisio Pereira, rector del Santuario de la Basílica, la elección del tema fue inspirado en el año del laicado, proclamado por el Papa Francisco y por la Conferencia Nacional de Obispos de Brasil (CNBB) para el 2018. “Daremos todo el énfasis para la participación y trabajo de los laicos en la iglesia, donde viven su fe, pero que de tal manera que se extienda a sus familias, lugares de trabajo y otros lugares donde participan y ejercen la extensión de su vida de fe”, señaló.

Sobre la programación prevista para los diez días de la fiesta, el rector señaló que se incluyó un horario adicional de misa a petición de los peregrinos. “Seguimos con la programación de los años anteriores, con la excepción de una misa, que se celebrará diariamente a las 10:00 p.m. Entonces, tendremos una alborada festiva, la procesión de la penitencia, novenas, novenas solemnes, misas cada hora, confesiones durante todo el día, bautismos y el sacramento de la eucaristía”, dijo.

Para el rector, la peregrinación siempre es tiempo de oración y grandes reflexiones sobre el trabajo de la iglesia, así como sobre las dificultades experimentadas en el mundo. “Creemos que el Padre Eterno trae más esperanza para la iglesia y la política de forma general en Brasil y en el mundo. Que todos vengan a Trindade movidos por la fe. Tracen sus metas espirituales para los días de fiesta al Padre Eterno. Siempre reforzamos durante las peregrinaciones, que vengan, participen y sean continuadores del mensaje del evangelio que se transmitirá aquí en Trindade. Damos la bienvenida a todos, a aquellos que vienen de cerca o lejos, sean bienvenidos, unidos por la fe y oración”, concluyó el padre Edinisio.

El alcalde de Trindade, Jânio Darrot, prestigio el lanzamiento del tema de la Peregrinación 2018 y destacó el planeamiento de la administración municipal y estatal para otra Peregrinación. “Contamos con el apoyo del gobierno del estado, para que podamos recibir bien, los más de 2.5 millones de peregrinos esperados este año. Es una unión de fuerzas entre la alcaldía de Trindade y el gobierno del estado a través de importantes instituciones como la policía militar, cuerpo de bomberos, policía civil, Agetop, OVG y la secretaria de salud. Todo eso, para que el fiesta pueda ser exitosa y para que la gente puede venir a Trindade y volver con seguridad a sus hogares”, dijo.

Sobre la importancia de la peregrinación para la capital de la fe de Goiás, el alcalde destacó que la ciudad es conocida mundialmente por su historia de fe, que comenzó en 1840, cuando se encontró el medallón con la imagen de la Santísima Trinidad. “Trindade nació y creció en la fe en el Divino Padre Eterno. Hoy en día, la peregrinación mueve la economía y el comercio local, posadas, hoteles y restaurantes. Realmente, es una fiesta que mueve de forma general, y sin duda, el turismo religioso es la mayor fuente de ingresos y empleo en nuestra ciudad”, concluyó el alcalde.
