[:en]Devotion to the Divine Eternal Father have started around 1840 and began winning hearts all over Brazil. This was made possible not only by miracles but also by the example and teachings about the faith in the Holy Trinity passed down from generation to generation. “The words teach, testify and gather,”.  Thousands of devotees to the Eternal Father only discovered the faith because of the example of their parents and grandparents who knelt, prayed, and walked to Trindade (GO).

The 9-year-old boy, Nilo Gabriel Andrade, is following this path of faith that is taught and practiced by his parents. His love for the Divine Eternal Father begun when he was even younger. “I enjoyed to go to the masses and asked many questions to my parents or other people about God and Jesus. The more I knew the more I got passionate, ” he claims. According to Claudia Andrade, Nilo’s mother, it is an honour to see the faith of her children to increase. “It is something natural for him. He always makes the sign of cross before leaving home. Every time he hears about someone is facing problems, he prays for the person. He is extremely in love with God and His work”, proudly says Nilo’s mother.

Nilo Gabriel is an altar boy. His parents accompany him. “Nilo Gabriel took preparation classes to be an altar boy. We always follow and encourage him. “It is beuatiful to see how is careful in all he does,” Claudia affirms. To Nilo, the best part of the mass is to hear the homily because it is a moment of reflection about life and there are explanations about the biblical passages. “I like to understand the passages and reflect on how we live. It is my favorite part!” says Nilo Gabriel.

Little children

In the Gospel of Matthew (19:14), Jesus asks: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these,” therefore, children are not only an example of purity but also of unreserved trust in the Father. “Many neighbors and friends ask Nilo Gabriel to pray for them. They trust in the faith and intimacy that he has with Jesus,” explains Claudia. When she and her husband pray for someone, they reserve a time for Nilo Gabriel to intercede with his own words. “He prays the rosary and prays by himself,” said NIlos’s mother.

But Nilo Gabriel is not alone in the mission of evangelizing and taking the love of the Divine Eternal Father even farther. The devotion to the Eternal Father have reached many families that get involved in the Novenas and masses due to the interest of their children. The Eternal Father TV Program, for example, has an attraction called “Eternal Father’s Gang”, which is an animation dedicated to teach children about the devotion to the Eternal Father. If we continue on this path, the new generation of devotees to the Divine Eternal Father may potentially be even more passionate and receive greater miracles because of their strong faith and commitment.

Esto fue posible no sólo por los milagros, sino también por las enseñanzas y ejemplos pasados de generación en generación sobre la fe en la Santísima Trinidad. Como dice el antiguo proverbio: “Las palabras convencen, pero el ejemplo arrastra”, miles de devotos fervorosos del Padre Eterno sólo conocieron la fe, debido al ejemplo de sus padres y abuelos que se arrodillaban, rezaban y hacían la caminata hasta Trindade (GO).

El pequeño Nilo Gabriel Andrade, de 9 años, está siguiendo este camino de fe, enseñado y practicado por sus padres. Su amor por el Divino Padre Eterno nació cuando aún era más pequeño. “Me gustaba ir a las misas y le hacía preguntas sobre Dios, sobre Jesús a mis padres y a otras personas. Cuanto más conocía, más me encantaba”, dice. Para su madre, Claudia Andrade, es un honor ver crecer la fe de su hijo. “Es una cosa natural en él. Siempre hace la señal de la cruz antes de salir de casa. Cuando se entera del problema de alguien, ora por esa persona. Él es apasionado por las cosas de Dios”, dijo la orgullosa madre.

Nilo Gabriel sirve en la iglesia como monaguillo, y también ya hace la lectura de los pasajes bíblicos, siempre acompañado de cerca por sus padres. “Él hizo un curso de preparación para ser monaguillo, le gusta participar. Mi marido y yo siempre lo seguimos y alentamos. Me parece muy hermoso como es de cuidadoso en todo lo que hace”, afirma la madre. Para Nilo, la mejor parte de la misa es escuchar la homilía, porque más allá de las explicaciones de las lecturas, es un momento de reflexión sobre la vida. “Me gusta entender las lecturas y reflexionar sobre cómo vivimos también es importante. ¡Es el momento que más me gusta!”, cuenta él.

Pequeñitos

En el Evangelio de Mateo (19,14), Jesús pide: “Dejen que los niños vengan a mí y no se los impidan, porque el Reino de los Cielos es de quienes son como ellos”, por lo tanto, los niños son ejemplos para los adultos, no sólo de la pureza, sino también de la confianza plena en el Padre. “Muchos vecinos y amigos piden que Nilo haga una oración por ellos, confían en la fe y en la intimidad que tiene con Jesús”, explica Claudia. Cuando ella y su marido hacen campaña de oración para alguien, reservan un momento para que Nilo, con sus propias palabras, pueda interceder por alguien. “Él reza el rosario y hace otras oraciones solo, sin la ayuda de nadie”, afirma la madre.

Pero Nilo no está solo en esta misión de evangelizar y llevar el amor del Divino Padre Eterno aún más lejos. La devoción al Padre Eterno ha alcanzado a muchas familias, que se movilizan ante las Novenas y misas por el interés de sus hijos e hijas. El programa Padre Eterno, por ejemplo, cuenta con la atracción “Alumnitos del Padre Eterno”, que es una animación dedicada a enseñar a los niños sobre esta devoción. Si continuar así este camino, la nueva generación de devotos del Divino Padre Eterno, tendrá todo para ser más apasionada y recibir mayores bendiciones por su fuerte fe y compromiso.
